After 47-year run, Olympia Sports to close its doors

Employees reached at multiple stores were distraught at the news but did not want to exist identified considering they feared losing their jobs early on. At stores in Berlin, Vermont; Potsdam, New York; Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Rockland, Presque Isle and South Portland, Maine, employees all confirmed their stores were closing and were holding liquidation sales.

"Information technology is kind of sensitive for a lot of the store managers," said a Massachusetts store manager who did non want to give her name. "A lot of people accept been hither for 30-plus years. A lot of people, they've never worked anywhere else. We only found out on Monday morning, and nosotros're already running the closing sale ...
